We appreciate queens.

We know hives.

We catch swarms.

we’re bee people

We’re a small family farm in Apex, North Carolina. Our bee journey started with a queen and a few frames of brood. By the following year – with careful splits and luck catching swarms – we had two dozen hives.

We salvage local logs and cut our own lumber for our hives on our small sawmill. This quickly turned into an excuse to build a chicken mansion, a solar wood kiln, and an opportunity to restore the old barn.

We’re establishing hives near the Haw River to expand the positive environmental impact of our bees. We also take hives to the mountains near Asheville to catch the sourwood flow.

We love learning more from each new experience and appreciate how the bees help us be more connected with nature. It is a privilege to share this with others!
